The final race recap of the year for 2025! The two stand out events in December are the California International Marathon and the Christmas Relays; with rebels running with distinction in both races. To commemorate a year of fantastic racing, we have made a race pace compilation showing the progression of speed and fitness over the course of the year. Take a moment to not only enjoy your own improvements in running and fitness over the past year but also celebrate the amazing improvements by all of your fellow club members. Let’s carry this momentum into the new year and continue growing both as individuals and as a club.
Thank you!
2025 race pace progression
Below is a compilation of results over the past year to show members how much they have progressed; especially our new members who have gone from running their first 5K to becoming seasoned racers.
This is not a comprehensive list of everyone who has donned a rebel red shirt and ran a race, but instead a showcase of those who have consistently raced similar distances throughout the year to illustrate the progression of results over time. I omitted Cross Country and trail running results because the race distances vary wildly and include elevation and obstacles, those race times are not readily comparable.
Results are listed in chronological order from left to right, with the left most race being earliest in the year and the right most result being the latest result of the year.
Pay special attention to the 5K times, most members ran the loop of the Elk Grove auto mall 3 times over the course of this year, which is a flat fast course; therefore they are the most comparable results.
Note: season’s best is highlighted in Bold.
